Frederick J. White, III, M.D.

Frederick J. White, III, M.D., has been a practicing cardiologist since 1988.  A native of El Dorado, Arkansas, Dr. White attended medical school at the Louisiana State University Medical School in Shreveport.  He completed his internship and residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  His fellowship in cardiology was completed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. White is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Cardiovascular Subspecialty Board in cardiology.  He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and the American College of Chest Physicians. 

He was the President of the Shreveport Medical Society during 1997-1998.  He is a member of the medical staff of the facilities in the Willis-Knighton Health System. Dr. White also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Medical Mutual Insurance Company, the physician-owned professional liability insurance carrier in Louisiana.

On a weekly basis, Dr. White sees patients at the WK Claiborne Parish Health Center in Homer and in the Homer Medical Center.  He is a member of the Medical Staff of the various facilities within the Willis-Knighton Health System.
