Amber Shah, M.D., MPHDr. Amber Shah completed his initial medical training at Smt NHL Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. He then trained and worked at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he received his Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree and served as a research fellow in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology at the John Hopkins Medical Institutions. Subsequently he obtained residency training in medicine at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center in West Reading, Pennsylvania, where he received ‘Excellence in Teaching Award’. He was then chosen to be the chief resident in medicine at this institute. Dr. Shah subsequently completed his cardiology fellowship from the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Throughout his career, Dr. Shah has numerous papers published on cardiovascular research. His research has encompassed areas including acute myocardial infarction, peripheral vascular disease, cardiac computed tomography, nuclear stress testing and congestive heart failure. Dr. Shah joined Cardiovascular Consultants, LLP, in July, 2010. His practice focuses upon general cardiology and preventive health. In addition to being well trained in diagnostic cardiac catheterization, echocardiography and stress testing, he is also well trained in nuclear cardiology, cardiac computed tomography, and vascular ultrasound. He serves patients at the WK-Pierremont Health Center as well as Willis-Knighton South and the Center for Women’s Health. He also conducts clinic activities at the Keyser Avenue Medical Park in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
